I'm pretty sure that I'm up for it, as long as it doesn't bug anyone
that I'd be the slowest one up the hill. I'll get to the top
eventually. The only weekend that doesn't work for me is August 14 -
16.

hello,
july 31st (as well as august dates) would work well.
it looks like i can probably carpool to the start with my friend.
caltrain would have worked well as far as public transport goes ...
perhaps the start could be near one of those stops in case other car-
less riders want to join.

Greetings,
August 9th I'm riding from Sunnyvale to San Luis Obispo. I'll be
riding a tandem with my 8 yr old boy. The mileage will vary from 40-60
miles per day with stops for waterfalls, animals, volcanic plugs and
other unique sights.
I'm always up for a s24o. I'm flexible as to distance an

I meant that to go privately, but now that I'm posting, how would July
31 (a Friday) work for everyone? I'm currently thinking of the
campground at the Sanborn youth hostel
Would Caltrain be good enough, as far as public transportation goes?

hello:)
i would definitely be up for this in late july (after 7/22) (as would
my romulus-owning friend who kindly pointed me towards this post). i'd
prefer a start somewhat near public transportation as i am carless and
live in berkeley. i've done several bike touring trips with my homer

I'm just finishing up the semester and haven't scheduled anything yet.
I'm thinking late July.

Has this gone off yet? I saved it in my inbox, but my partner and I will be
moving to the bay area on July 1st and would love to join up with some local
riders for an s24o. She rides a saluki, I've an atlantis.
Thanks,

OK, roll call time. Anyone from the Peninsula area (let's say, San
Jose to Redwood City, more or less) who is interested in a sub-24
overnight, email me. Let me know what your schedule is, and what
destinations appeal to you. Let's think about a trip in late June or
late July.

I'm interested. I would vote for Foothills Park if someone in Palo Alto
can come through--I'm in Mt View.
I'm a bike camping newbie--tried Half Moon Bay with a small group last
October and really liked it, but it's a tougher trip (big hill in both
directions) from my place than I like to do fo

That's the spot. I've camped there several times. Campers are alone in
what might as well be

Another possibility could be to descend on the hike n' bike at Half
Moon Bay SP. There is also camping in Portola State Park, but it is a
mighty steep
Those Southern Californians are having all the fun. Anyone from the SF
Peninsula area interested in a sub 24? The campground at the top of
Page Mill Road would be one possible destination, or the open space up
above Saratoga, or ??
