OK Steve, sometimes I'm a bit 'thick" when it comes to electronics. I have
zero experience with H-bridges and MOSFETs in general. Are you saying that
this will do the job?

Are these readily available plastic tracks, wheels and metal sprockets ? Sorry
I have missed the discussion.
They look beautiful whatever they are. It just worries me that steel sprockets
will wear down plastic tracks in teh first place. Never mind though, I have

I like the build Kelly, I really do. My only concern is the tracks.
R/C'ing a tank at slow speeds on flat ground is pretty easy. Doing it
at Steve T. speeds through tall grass is harder. I had a lot of
teething issues with tracks. Use of those tracks was the reason I had

Ok well here is my math so far. I did this with a 14.4v drill battery
(fully charged) and a stop watch. I got 80 RPM
I determined that with two drill batteries I would get about 160 rpm.
So then I solved for X if 28.8v = 160 then 24v = 133.3 I used the
calculator you posted up to determine my top

The rules state that there must be a marked and easily accessible ESD to
stop a tank if it goes rogue.
What about something like this:

This sits between the servo and the receiver and if it detects a low battery
or loss of signal it moves th
Nice run!
It was funny though to see it running on a "tank treadmill". Keep exercising
the tank to keep the weight down? ;)
