Dear RDA-L members,
today we would like to share information about the current RDA implementation
project in the German-speaking library community.
The RDA working group was established in 2012 to prepare for the changeover to
the Resource Description and Access (RDA) standard in Germany,
All,
The Potomac Technical Processing Librarians is hosting a two day workshop about
RDA at Georgetown University. The first day will be about the theories and
practicalities behind RDA and the second day will include hands on cataloging
using RDA. Please see the attached flyer for more
Too bad this is in VA - this would be a good workshop with hands on! J

TMQ,
Sandra,
assuming all 25 people are indeed creators, you only need to record the
relationship to the first one, because only this is a core requirement.
You can find this information in 19.2, just below the heading: If there
is more than one creator responsible for the work, only the creator

RDA has WEMI; Bibframe has W/I.
My limited grasp of the BIBFRAME discussion suggests that it doesn't have
to be structured as WEMI. Since it's trying to be all things to all
people, it only has to accommodate it.
