The instructions for recording extent are in 3.4.1.3 in the RDA Toolkit. There you are told to use "an appropriate term for the type of carrier as listed under 3.3.1.3." The latter is where you find a list of acceptable terms, such as audio disc. RDA 3.4.1.5 also gives you permission to use a te

I've been told that, for now, information in the 34X fields can and should continue to be duplicated in the 007 and the 538 (NTSC or PAL, etc.), until such time as ILSs catch up. So in the limited RDA A/V cataloging I have done, everything that I'm putting in 34X is also somewhere else in the M
