I just had to rewire an array because of squirrel damage. They chewed the insulation off of the use-2 on almost every panel within 2 inches of the j-box. Only major inverters I know of for sure made in the US are Outback (not 100% sure on that actually...), Magnum, and Exeltech. Panels are a mixed bag - even the US ones I don't think are 100% made in USA.

I believe that a sunny island will work with any batteryless grid-tie inverter, Enphase included. The catch is that it wont work as well as a Sunnyboy, and that may or may not be much of an issue. If the battery bank is large relative to the array, like a C/30-40 charge rate, then it will work just
