The good news is that the 2010 code of federal regulations has pv (and wind
maint) as distinct ategories in their CCR (?) list. They ate stand alone, not
under electrcal (or roofer, or glazier, or sheet metal or any if the
othertrades fighting to claim pv). I am out of
I take strong objection to this post, and to the idea that that PV should be
another roofing industry where workers can not feed there famil;ies form
toiling all day.

Does anyone have a manual for an old Shell Solar RV20 PV charge
controller? Or know where I can get a copy. I searched the web
without success. I'd like to know if the charge settings are
adjustable for sealed batteries.

The charge voltages are not adjustable, but are set at 14.2V +/-0.2 for charge
termination and 12.8V +/-0.2 for charge resumption.
I have a paper copy of the manual that I can scan for you. Let me know if you
want it.

Some of the RV20 charge controls were made by Specialty Concepts in
California ((818)-998-5238) and some were made by GoSolar in Victoria,
Canada. If it is a GoSolar version you should throw it away. Shell
sold everything they had to us about 5 years ago. We tossed the GoSolar
units
