Jacob's response is a bit misleading. Tigo Maximizers operate in the buck mode,
by lowering the voltage of a shaded module and increasing the current to match
other modules in a string, so the unshaded modules are not affected. If you

We were called to resolve problems with an off-grid PV install done by
others. The installation is 18 200 watt GE modules about 6 years old. The
modules are direct mounted on S5 clips in strings of three. We found half
of the modules were in failure. A few showed signs of heat dam
Dear wrenches-I have a client who has a grid-tie system with about 40 Isofoton I-150S/24 modules. One of them has failed and he is looking for a replacement. Doesn't need to be the same, but something electrically compatible that he can put in the string will do. Anyone have anything he could use?
