Last summer I had to recast a post. A first for me. Some "Battery Expert" installed a bank of Trojans with UT posts using flat cable end terminals, then torqued the b Jesus out of them to try to get them to seat. what happened was they either cracked or totally broke off the terminal at the bolt ho

Can they really get away with selling fake Solarworld modules? Is there no way to verify there manufacturer? It would seem that Solarworld would want to bust a company selling modules labeled with there name that weren't theirs. If they are old stock at cheap prices, they might be good for some sy

What I've seen lately in my Spam box, advertised at the usual ridiculous price, is for low wattage Solarworld modules. We currently are installing 285 and 290 watt models, and what was being offered were 260 and under. Either they're knock offs, or someone is moving some really old stock. Thi

Drake, True, the age old adage applies: caveat emptor! I have received thousands of emails offering RE products from companies unknown, locations global, and Gmail address abounding. Also, cost per Watt is so minor an issue compered to buying good performance modules that produces better ROI.

I would go with the puller idea. Grab a small gear puller at Napa or Autozone and use a large socket or something similar as a spacer on the back side so that the puller jaws don't dig into the soft lead. The challenge may be finding a puller with a small enough bolt to push through the terminal
