Hello Wrenches,
I've been using ModSolar for preliminary estimated and roof layout. While
it works OK, it can be a bit kwirky at times and the aerial imagery is at
times less than ideal. I'm looking to see what else is out there?

They aren't out of business. The downside, for me, is that the standard
racking we use (SnapN Rack) comes in 122" and 162" lengths. I think of
these as three module and four module lengths. With Solaria, they're not.
The modules are too wide (41.6") for the "standard" configuration. There

Will take new, used, or blemished panels if they work and are the exact

Interesting note. We considered this variable even if there is supposed
compatibility.
We have gone back and replaced the MC4 connectors with Tyco connectors to
ensure this is not the source. Can’t really say it has helped so far. I’m
leaning toward AC / DC interference at peak irradiance.
What connectors are they, and are you using same brand when you connect to
comber/junction box?
I have seen issues with non same connectors.

No – I have not.
My strongest suspect in all of this is AC / DC conflict and insulation issues.
For those familiar, the DC and AC conductors run in the same space. Not too
different than other inverters, I’d say. Fronius provides a conductor insulator
sleeve for the AC conductors when the
What make of bi-facial are you using? The old Sanyo bi-facial had a few
of these that had to back for warranty, but that was 10 years ago.
