Bill, I just did that a month ago, and it went amazingly smoothly. Earlier, on
a similar HUP replacement, I told the (absentee) client that I would rent an
engine hoist to lift the cells out of the steel cases, and he advised me that
it would cost him less labor and travel if I bought one of
I'm going to have to remove the cells from 4 HUP Solar1 battery cases to
change-out the pack (no option, bad access). Anyone ever had problems
come-a-longing from above the first cell and if so, what's the
solution?...and what are you doing tomorrow?
Thx,
Bill

Hey Bill,
Yes that's pretty much it. Stand-Alone Meter Socket to J-Box with
Splice Tap to Solar Disco and Main Breaker Panel. Max backfeed 200 Amps
(160 Amps rated solar inverters) for single phase.
You'll need to meet the Short Circuit Current Rating (SCCR) for all
equipment and the IC
Thanks Brad,
I think I am finally getting it.
When on-grid, the grid is providing wave form and transistors in BB are
available to provide voltage regulation.
When off-grid, the transistors in the BB are required to provided wave
form and not available to provide regulation.

Mark,
The difference is that when AC coupled the power is coming backwards into
the AC out. When it's charging from the grid or generator it is charging
from the AC inputs. The inverter can control the charge from the inputs but
not what is coming in reverse into the output.
