I have to chime in with my experiences with REC as well. One of the reasons
we continue to sell their modules is their high marine salt spray rating.
Short term, installing any module in the Caribbean or the coast of Maine
can be successful, but the longevity of highly rated modules like the ones

Our experience with REC is similar to previous respondents. We almost
solely installed REC modules for the better part of a few years and have
over 12,000 (4.31 mW) of them in the field. Ironically enough our first
warranty claim for one was a couple weeks ago (failed diode). The

Hi everyone,
Does anyone have positive or negative experience with REC modules?
Specifically failure rate, and how the company acts when an RMA is
necessary. Thank you

Hi John,
We have many, many REC panels installed, from Maine to Antigua. They

Hi module mounters,
It seems I remember a thread or two quite awhile ago about REC Modules. I
am looking for alternatives to Evergreen black framed modules. Looking for
pros and cons. The frame looks lightweight. We will be using mostly on top of

I have never used these modules but they seem to actually be doing the

around or made to jump through hoops..
Just another opinion,

Hello Wrenches,
I am considering using REC modules on a project, and have never used
them. Are these first quality modules?
