Hey Darryl-- Great idea on the eGauge. Is it somewhat easy to set up for us older, electrical coots with limited nework experience? Work in a rural area with not so smart utility meters and knowing peak demand and kWh loads would be a big help in setting up storage systems that would do the job

Hi Will, Yes, thanks! The Hioki does log both V and A simultaneously for DC, but not AC. For some reason, the times I've wanted to use it for logging have all been AC. Best, Blake On Wed, Mar 6, 2019 at 12:33 PM Will White wrote: > Blake, > > I believe the Hioki can do DC current and volta

Blake, I believe the Hioki can do DC current and voltage recording at the same time (but not AC). Thanks, Will On Mon, Mar 4, 2019 at 3:59 PM Blake Gleason wrote: > I have used the Hioki for data logging. It's a super awesome feature for > a multi meter, and I agree with Rebekah that it's int

Hi Drake, What a coincidence. Our town is in the late stages of building a 2.4 Mw Biomass plant to burn the 22 million dead ponderosa trees killed here by the bark beetle. Below is a link. I am not sure if Optics will log that, but I know the Schneider Configuration tool will log a reading on t

Hi Rebekah & Dave, That looks like a good meter; I think it should work fine. We are diagnosing a Stirling generator, that consumes wood pellets and produces electricity, heat and biochar. http://stirling-tech.com/biogen/ The machine connects to the grid or an inverter via AC coupling. It i

almost but mine works fine. I use an Egauge which has 4 voltage inputs and 15 current inputs. I go to sites and set up a recording that can do AC or DC voltages and currents. I use this to analyze system and commercial and residential energy & power. It can record one a 1-second basis or a one-m

I have used the Hioki for data logging. It's a super awesome feature for a multi meter, and I agree with Rebekah that it's intuitive and easy, but it hardly replaces a serious data-logging power meter. Limitations include the following: - must leave your phone (or whatever Bluetooth device) sitti

Always count on Rebekah to point us to cool new stuff.  That looks great, good price, Blue Tooth and  I've been in the market for a better DC clamp on meter.  It says you can look at the waveform through the Blue tooth in real time.  Have you used this?  Can you see distortions in a sinewave, f

What do you want to record? True RMS, 3 phase, Accuracy? Calibrated equipment? How long will you log? days, weeks, months? Are you looking for transients? I use to work for these guys when they were HP and they still are in Santa Rosa CA. I like their gear out of the box with full calibration.

The Hioki meter amazes me. It can measure up to 1500VDC, and bluetooth communications to a really simple to use phone app that records single or multiple channels up to 24 hrs, and exports to pdf, it's totally intuitive to use. See pg 34 in the manual. https://www.hioki.com/file/cmw/hdInstructionM
