My local JHA has recently decided that vents for anything other than fresh air
are not allowed under the solar array. The ones that are causing me the
biggest problem are the plumbing vent pipes as I have several projects with 10
or more pipes to deal with. Has anyone successfull

Here, by code, vents must extend 12" above the roof line. It's a bad
idea to cover them with PV modules.

covered.

The AAV cap mentioned in a previous post is a clean and easy fix if your
jurisdiction allows them. Most do and I'm aware of many installers using these,
although I have not. It could be that some folks are getting away with it
because the inspector had no idea of the attic terminations. In many
I have done some research and just found that it is approved in NY State but
not in NYC which is where the majority of my projects are...bummer!
