Two more things: those RoT figures were for 3-wire capacitor-start
motors; 2-wire motors are considered much harder to start. So that
in itself may change the scenario.

may work.

Do you think that an XW 6048 can start a 2 wire 3 HP pump without a start
capacitor, or should we plan on pulling out the pump?
