Heh. I like your interpretation of it. I'm usually not home at all on
weekends, so I'm kind of thankful for the drop-off - as it is I get too much

Agreed! A friend of a friend spent a quarter million patending a bicycle lock.
Its those damn patend attorneys that suck up the money, the patend fees are
relatively cheap. If you wanna get super-duper rich, program LFReD to replace
lawyers and attorneys.

Patents have me spooked. I'm turned off by patents and the whole system.
Amazon has a "Buy one now." button patent. Where does it end? And the cost
of submitting and defending is out of my budget. Any VC's out there :)

Hello?
Have I been unsubscribe somehow without my knowledge? Or has everyone in the
world experienced some fatal calamity that I seem to have overlooked? I can't imagine
the REBOL list falling so silent so sudden with no apparent reason...
Enjoy!!

Hi Holger,
Thanks for the excellent discussion of this often confusing topic. It would
be of great benefit to all REBOL programmers, if this material were present
in the REBOL documentation. It should include mention of the "properties" of
each REBOL type accessible to the programmer. The REBOL l

Vey well put Mark! Thanks for the info on licenses. Suprisingly, it seems to me that
you and RT might share some ideology.

unfortunately, it is a different notion. See the following example:

set 'a 1 ; == 1

Hi Gabriele,
<< What kind of license should I release it on? >>
I've been thinking about the same thing, even for little tools and scripts.
There are a number of licenses listed at opensource.org. I think the "free
for non-commercial use" and charging for commercial use is a good approach.

Terry,
Sounds great! Would have many uses where text is the medium (html, REBOL scripts,
e-mail, etc).
However, I will remain politely skeptical until I see it in action.
While I don't have much experience with the mechanics of compression, I have read some
about it.
And from that I am heartene
I, too am unclear on the uses of 'undefined?
Is it any different from using "not value? 'word" ? Much easier to use an existing
native value, right? ;)

Hi Ladislav,
I was sure I was missing something. Very clever indeed and elegant once one

There is no problem of reliability here. Andrew simply changed the subject.
