Canberra joins Aboriginal
peace march
Canberra residents have joined a peace march
supporting Aboriginal rights which is currently
making its way to the tent embassy outside Old
Parliament House.
The march started more than 10 weeks ago in
South Australia.
It seems to me that Rod H. is on the right track here, with his
wonderful ideas for involving spectators in a bit of mass "civil
disobedience".
How many people crossed that bridge in Sydney? A good part,
maybe a majority, of the people attending the Olympics are going
to be Sydneysiders. I

The overseas press have the story. They had it as soon as you did. :-)
An avalanche of letters to the editor may do more good as individual
contributions. Send your letter to ALL papers and many of them will be
printed. The SOCOG band decision and other backflips were the result of
an outpouring
Just a suggestion, but it would be easy to circumvent this ruling by
substituting something else for the flag and encouraging people to wear it.
Don't ask me what, but I'm sure others could come up with something
culturally appropriate. Different things can symbolise the same thing, just

decision. But as I am in Melbourne I'm not sure what we can do. Perhaps
