When defining a standard field of date type, it uses the server's
locale by default. Of course, in the standard field placeholder
property, you can change it to which ever locale you want to use.

I am using two language variants and I changed the date format to 'dd-
MMM-' and when I switch to my French variant, the month name being
used is the wrong language. It's using my English variant's month name

here are the additional intruction from Opentext. The instruction was
requested due to problems with the DS 10.1, so I can't say if it's
working at DS 10.
Step 1
Install sourcen with the setup tool.
Step 2
at
C:\OpenText\WS\K2\lib
copy the jar file to
C:\OpenText\WS\DS\tomcat\webapps
