With nice `ip' utility, how one can obtain machine's
interface information programmatically? On old good
days, I used
SIOCGIFCONF ioctl to get an array of `struct ifreq'
elements with iface name and addresse, and
SIOCGIFNETMASK to obtain other *interface* info
