How to create IDE RAID-1?

I'll be installing RH 7.0 on my PC at work, on two new 47GB IDE drives. I'd like to mirror the drives in a RAID-1 configuration. I'd also like to mirror the root drive, but from what I gather, only RAID-0 and RAID-5 support mirroring the root drive. Is this correct? I've begun reading the instr

Problem using linux FDISK on second hard drive
