Hey,
In the sendmail portion of my LogWatch, I've gotten this a couple times
lately..not sure what it means, and if I should be worried at all, and why
it's happening. Here's the message:

Okay, the cgi-bins seem to be working fine if the
site is a users web files and not a virtual host. However, if I try to access

Hey there,
Basically what was happening was, since I forgot to define a ScriptAlias
within the VirtualHost thing, it was trying to use the default cgi-bin of
/var/www/cgi-bin. Obviously, the scripts I wanted weren't in there. So it's
working great now..thank you everyone for helping out! I used

working cgi-bin folder in their public_html folder. I added the AddHandler thing
to allow .cgi as cgi-script or whatever it was, but every time I try and run a

Hey there,
I'm trying to set up SMTP authentication for sendmail..I went to the
sendmail site to look how to do it..installing Cyrus-sasl, etc. I remembered
that I had installed the Cyrus-sasl RPM though when I installed RedHat 7.2,
so I jumped right to the step to see if SASL is in the output..
Hey Russ,
It worked! Thanks a ton for your help, I'm excited. Take it easy, talk to

Are you trying to login to your FTP server as root? If so, there's your
problem right there. Make a new user..
$ adduser whatever
$ passwd whatever
(then set the password)
Now try and log in to your FTP server with the non-root user you just made.
However, if that's not that case, then we'll

Thanks a ton for your help. I had actually been messing around with both of

Hey Manuel,
I had actually read about that problem, so I disabled the screen saver to see if it helped..it didn't :( I mean, there are times where APM kicks in, and then it freezes at a black screen and I have to restart.
