I am in the process of installing a Speedtouch USB ADSL modem and cannot offer
specific help. This might get you on the right track as it did for me.
Alcatel has written its own Linux driver, but it's still a great learning
experience.
I get this message at the end of the XFree86.0.log file after trying to
enter GUI with startx from text mode. A very nice, complete GNOME video
screen loads, but the keyboard and the mouse are both disabled. The
mouse arrow is there but won't move, and none of the keys work. I have
