Real Newbie Question concerning Windows files on a floppy

I have copied some files (.doc, .txt. .jpeg, etc) from a computer running  Windows 2000 to a floppy.  I then inserted the floppy into a laptop running RH 9.  The files are not showing up.  I can copy files from the laptop to the floppy and they show up in RH 9, so I know the floppy is working.  Has

RH 8.0 Power/Battery meter

I have upgraded my laptop from RH 7.2 to RH 8.0 via a format then a new installation.  RH 7.2 had under preferences the ability to show how muchbattery life was left in my laptop (whether it was charging or being used).  Ican not find this feature in RH 8.0.  Does anyone know where I can find this

I recently bought a maxtor USB 120 gig external hard drive. I have been trying to get it to work on Red Hat 8.0. It does not seem to recognize it when i attempt to mount it. Has anyone have any information on how to accomplish this. Thanks __ D

Upgrade Mozilla web browser on Red Hat 8.0

I am trying to upgrade the Mozilla web browser on Red Hat 8.0 to Mozilla 1.2 (or the latest).  Can anyone offer any suggestions on how to best do this?  I have downloaded all of the RPM's for Mozilla 1.2 and tried using Red Carpet and Synaptic to install the local RPM's.  Each failed.  I have downl
