I get this every time, if there is no disk in the drive - it works
perfectly... Try a "background" mount, just in case the disk isn't there...

I had a problem with the MS-Rodent (v1.1a) under RH5.1 - fixed it by
selecting NO MOUSE, then re-running MOUSECONFIG and selecting SERIAL (no
emulation)

Further to my request regarding info on the above card, I've learned it's an
S3 Virge/GX2 86C357, if that makes any difference...
I've tried forcing Xconfigurator/xf86config to use the SVGA server, but
still no-go.
The image appears to "wrap" around the screen (i.e. the screens are "joined"
