I'm trying to set up RH70 based VPN (PPTPD+PPPD) server but I can't find
out how to set it up the way, then AUTH is being done by NT server. It
means that VPN server queries NT for user ID and passwords. I wouldn't
want to have all usernames and password in chap-secrets file.
Example: user j

Hi,
First: I'm relatively new to X-Win workaround.
I'm trying to run xterm (gnome-terminal, gimp etc) from remote host, but

what speed do you get transfering from your server to M$ Windows machines?
I have 100mb net iwth switch. Cards are 100mb. Max transfer is about
1.8mb. It is somehow slow for my mind. Between Win98 and ME i get ~3mb.
socket options = TCP_NODELAY SO_SNDBUF=16384

In the article at cnet
(http://news.cnet.com/news/0-1003-200-2841538.html?tag=st.ne.1430735..ni)
they say that upgrades and bug fixes get sent to the $9.95 customers. Does
it mean they won't be freely downloadable any more? If so, then it's not
what I would call good news.

Hi,
is there a tool available that can monitor all net traffic?
Would like something like that...

*) outgoing
*) per day
*) per hour
etc
Would like to have a good overview of net traffic to be able to add
bandwidth before it's 101% usage and gives timeouts. :)
Thanks in advance

Hi,
i'm useing Apache SSL (apache-ssl-1.3.4-1.31-1.rpm). Some pages are
password protected (.htaccess & .htpasswd solution). Is it possible that
password will be asked again when you do refresh. Closing and
restarting browser is one way, but not quite what I'd like.
Ideas?

Hi,
I'm trying to send a .gif file from command prompt but I fail. What I need
is to make a script that runs from cron downloads a image with wget and
sends it in a mail as attachment.
Has anyone an idea how to do it?
Thanks in advance,
Martin Sieben
