Hi!
Is there a way I could dump all the information that is coming to a serial
port into a file, so after that I could rearange it? And where I should
modify the settings for the port? (baud rate, parity, etc...)
Also is there any one who built a car mp3-player with a LCD display and
keypad?
I have tried several winmodems in Linux. I've used Motorola SM56, Genius
(Lucent) and Conexant (HCF, if I remember right). All of them worked quite
well, but as Joe said, you cannot compare them with external modems, which
are much better.

man samba!!!
Or for the beginning just go edit /etc/samba/smb.conf and you will have some
clues there!
Also for a more accurate help send some details about your network: is it a
workgroup, domain, etc...?
Regards!

Hi!
Is there any way to stop receiveing mail on the
root mail account from scheduled Cron jobs?
I use fetchmail for retrieving mails and I set up
cron to do a fetchmail regularily. Every time the Cron executes a command sends
me a mail. I would like to stop this, but only for the fetchmail
to
receive mails from cron for all other jobs for the same user? In which case
you could probably just redirect all output from that specific command to a
logfile or /dev/null.

it forwarding to ISP2 which has the restriction.
I'm pretty sure you can filter based on size, with either procmail or
sendmail. Perhaps check the howto's for those applications...

Yes, you can configure the webmail server to leave messages in the
spool, so they can still get them in their email clients.
