Title: Linux as a firewall
I have recently gotten a new machine at my house with WinXP Pro. However, I'd like to place something between the XP machine and my broadband connection that will act as a firewall. I'd like to rebuild my old machine as Linux and build it as a firewall.

Is there a 2GB individual file limit in RH Linux? We are going to a RH
7.1/Oracle 9i RAC configuration and some sources are telling us that there
is a 2GB file limitation in Linux. Is this true? We have many database
files greater than 2GB and need to know if we need to start splitting the
files

issue. We have a totally WinNT/2000 shop and have finally broken into the

Does Red Hat have any documentation specifically relating to Oracle on 7.1.
We're implementing the 9i RAC on 7.1 -courtesy of Dell- and need a little

We are an NT/2000 shop running Oracle Applications 11.5.3 on 8.1.7.2.1. All
the DBA's here have cut their teeth on Oracle on NT/2000. Recently, we have
committed to going with the Oracle 9i RAC configuration on Red Hat Linux
(7.1 I think).
