Help reconstructing raid

2000-05-25 Thread Syd Carter / Upper Level
I had raid up and running (ver 0.90) and then needed to replace one of the two hard drives. Now I cannot reconstruct the raid. There doesn't seem to be a command that provides for it. Apparently it is supposed to be part of the kernel. I have tried cloning the disk and then re-installing. A

Help with compiling FTAPE and Redhat 6.0

2000-04-16 Thread Syd Carter / Upper Level
I'm using Redhat 6.0 and cannot for the life of me figure out why I can't get Ftape 4.02 to compile. I have modified MCONFIG (which from what I saw, didn't need any modification with the exception of telling it that I am using a 586 processor). When I look in the /lib/modules/2.2.5-15/misc direc

I try to connect to my redhat 6.0 machine and establish a PPP connection but no luck. Mgetty is installed. The server answers, issues the login and password prompts fine. However my client "Windows 95 dial up networking" refuses to get past the verifying username and password screen. Eventuall

Win 95 DUN will not verify username on remote connection

I cannot remotely connect to my Redhat 6.0 server.  Mgetty answers, starts ppp but the window 95 dialup networking stays at verifying username and password window.  I have tried many different ways to get this to work.  I have enabled the /AutoPPP/- a_ppp /usr/sbin/pppd ...etc line in login.
