Hi Nick,
I think I recall making that change in RH 8.0 or something similar to it. I'll look
into it this evening. Something is messing with me and it bugs me I can't figure what
it is.
Thanks

I'm not sure what you are doing wrong. I followed this example and had no problems:

Thanks,
I just got it up and running this AM. I have been to the website but haven't looked
at plugins yet. No need to jump the gun for plugins.
I used the RH RPM to do my install. There is a conf.pl script and a section for
folders. I thought I had it set to allow users to set their own fo
I have a couple of questions regarding squirrelmail.
I recently setup squirrelmail and was wondering if it can be used to pick up mail for
other email accounts? For example, I have secveral email accounts at 4 different
sites. Can it pick up mail at different hosts for me?
Also, I only have a
Sorry about that.
Larry responded directly instead of the list. From what I can tell, the reason mail
wasn't working was due to the wrong ip address I setup in sendmail. I used 10.10.0.1
instead of 127.0.0.1 and, the login name 'edukes' had been change to have root

If you get the answer, could you re-post the info step by step in "layman's terms"?
Thanks

I got one of those last night. I emailed him directly and told him a mailing list
would not be an appropriate for this type service. I warned him that he would hear
about it if he didn't turn it off.

I have basically the same setup/problem. I can't see the linux box, but I can connect
to it by "adding a network place" \\mysambaserver\etc
If that helps

I have basically the same setup at home. My DSL modem is connected to the hub via
ethernet cable with each pc connected to the hub also. I don't use/have the 2nd nic

Where I work, we have Cisco IP phones. I don't know if this is what you are looking
for but these are way cool. I'm not a telephone person so I can't give much else than
that.

I know, I have tried numerous times to search and with no 'hits'. I even posted,
basically the same message, here about it being broken a couple weeks ago, but its
still broken.

I just did a complete re-install from scratch. PHP still doesn't work. I am totally
stumped.
I know php use the .conf file in conf.d, but it must need something other than the
stock installed file to work. I changed the short tag to "on" in the php.ini. That
didn't work/help either.

I am running RH 8.0. When I installed it, I chose the "custom" setting. That may be
the problem because I didn't install a lot of the programming/development packages. I
can't tell you specifically at this this as I am a work but when I get home this
evening, I will install everything in that
I tried that script also but had no success either. Maybe I should just do a complete
re-install. Something isn't right. Other than the obvious packages, php & apache,
are there any other required files to run php? Iask this because I didn't install the
complete RH disk set.
TIA

I have php and php-mysql packages installed. I changed the 'short_open_tag' to "on"
as suggested. When I run a script I got from the PHP website tutorial all I get as
output is the script itself.
This is the script and what it look like when I run it:
