I'm trying to run xtraceroute (version 0.8.14) on Red Hat
6.2 (kernel 2.2.16), but it always crashes with a
segmentation fault. Has anyone else experienced this
problem or know a solution?

mehow they were able to determine user names on my system. Does anyone
know how this was accomplished, and how I can block it?
It would not have been done by packet sniffing as they are not on the
same switch segment as I am, and the other users have not logged in for
nteresting exploit tho.

address via an SMTP server?

fast, has
nice little applets and you can run Gnome apps on it. It's Drag 'n' Drop
is compatible with gmc even.
I've used it on anything from a 486DX50 and up.

insmod parport
insmod parport_pc
before my ppa module would load correctly. The order seemed to matter
too.

to use:
/sbin/insmod parport
/sbin/insmod parport_pc
/sbin/insmod ppa
and variations on:
mount -t vfat /dev/sda4 /mnt/zip
or associated entries in /etc/fstab to allow user access.

Solution: The IRQ used by the IDE CDROM (corresponding to /dev/hdc) was
non-standard and not found by the 2.2 kernel IDE module. Inserting
append="hdc=cdrom" in lilo.conf, running LILO and rebooting made the
CDROM magically burst into life.

Thanks to all who wrote to help. The upgrade RH6.1 pppd RPM solved my
problems. I still get the char-major-108 module not found error, but
pppd now does actually seem to work.

Thanks, Stephen. The site seems to be out of order so I'll hammer at it
until it comes up. Meanwhiles, I'll try the pppd from the RH6.1 Upgrades
mirror and see if it makes
ng checker. So simple my Mum could use
it, and s much faster than loading StarOffice when you just want to
do a quick letter or note.
It will also read DOC files and let you write something legible out as
RTF.
