OK, following instructions given by members of this mailing list (thanks very

'autorun' package (rpm -e autorun).
Now, whenever I start KDE, I get the message "KDE can't execute

Never mind. It has been a tiring day. The answer is to quit X and THEN
use a console instead of cntl+alt+fX while leaving X running.

autorun, at least temporarily? The only thing I can find that looks suspicious is

Will getting rid of that do what I want?

Hi,
For my user account, a daemon call 'Autorun' is running for a while
at the boot. It doesn't appears for the root account.
It seems to be linked with the automount tool (?) or something like that.
Can someone give me more detail about this daemon ?
Allmost, why does it run f

At boot, after load, my KDE tool bar indicates 3 processes (?)
running:
-Autorun
-alarm daemon
-history for command line ('historique du presse-papier' in french)
How can I cancel these processes?

I'm not sure of the specifics on how it is done under Gnome, but I do know
that the RedHat 6.2 CD autoruns under Gnome and will bring up Gnome-RPM if
you say yes to the autorun. I assume that Gnome has tied into the CD
