df -h
Partition information:
fdisk -l /dev/hda
System type:
cat /etc/issue

# cat/proc/scsi/scsi
Similarly for ide. Drill down the proc tree until find what you're
looking for.
Don't forget about the dmesg command. Here's part of the SCSI
