Thank you for John's e-mail. I have tried antiword, catdoc, and word2x.
These three tools can convert Word documents to text files, but antiword
generates its own section numbers, catdoc produces garbage at the end of
the file, and word2x would core dump if the Word document has "header".

I am using RH6.2. I want to process some *.doc (Word document) files. How
