The version compiled for redhat 8 downloadable from the mozilla ftp site works for me, even with ximian installed (though I havent checked if it messed galeon...) It has the same problem as the RH9 from rawhide -- it spontaneously evaporates from the screen, such as what might happen if

I have absolutely no problem with 1.4 from Rawhide. Have you installed ALL of the Mozilla modules? Yes, but not the development ones. The problem is that there are some circular dependencies. If you are careless with --nodeps, it's POSSIBLE to overlook others. Nope, standard -Uvh
