I don't know much about it but I think the default if you run 'xdm' (the gui login interface to xfree86) is to use xauth. You should have a man page for xauth on your system (unless it didn't get installed). Other than that I am not sure what else to tell you. Jon Rowell On Fri, 17 Apr 1998,
