Hello All,
I am wondering if anyone can tell me what the score is with USB and RedHat?
I am using using 7.3 and am having a little difficulty with USB devices. I have
followed the instructions in http://www.linux-usb.org/USB-guide/book1.html with only
partial success. I have also fooled around

I am using redhat 9 and have no problem with usb devices. The USB mouse
and keyboard are detected and configured automatically. I can mount
/dev/sda1
Somebody knows how can I install a scanner Genius ColorPage HR7X-Slim
USB on linux Redhat 8 ?
I know that is compatible within plustek backend (LM9832 chipset) that
run on sane.
Or maybe not because sane compability list show only HR7, and I dont
know if is the same HR7X model.
Thanks a lot
It seems that a lot of people using VIA USB controllers cannot use HID
devices with the new kernel.
Does anyone have a solution? My USB mouse and keyboard refuse to work
in 8.0!

Has anyone applied the USB patches from www.linux-usb.org to the 2.2.14
kernel that ships with 6.2? I did, and it mostly patched (there was one
error somewhere in the Alpha chip tree). I enabled audio, keyboard,
and mouse and here's what I get:
gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux/include -Wall
