I just installed rh 5.1, i'm a novice at Linux. I set up netscape with my internet providers address info and I got nothing. What I did was login my shell account and activate the ppp connection. It timed out after maybe 20 or 30 sec. I feel that I don't have ppp installed or supported in my

Well, I've tried everything I can think of. Whenever I try to run any number of dialers, connectors, scripts, etc, absolutely nothing happens. No errors, nothing. Occasionally I get a device busy error, but that's about all. In the /var/lock directory, I have LCK..modem after startup. I

Robert, Look in your ~/.WMrc file (fvwm is .fvwmrc) Try: Style "Failures"StartsOnDesk 2 Style "Authreq" StartsOnDesk 3 (use whatever desktop you prefer) etc... Restart fvwm (or whatever WM you are using) Oughta Work. (Does Here) fvwm uses the "-T whatever" as the *tag* as to
