Take a telephone butt set to examine the output, and some resistors. If
these are simulcasting it would seem there is something affecting the
ptt parallel circuit - take 2 or 3 some 1n4001 to act as isolator so
that one ptt does not backfeed into the other. I think I would use a
pair of output
I was wondering if anyone have wired (2) two M100 with RICK unit to make a
repeater. The M100 doers not have the 16 pin plug like the GM300, and was
wondering if anyone has success via the microphone plug.
Thanks
Ed

Hello: Try holding down the shift key when typing in the frequency, all except the decimal point. If this doesn't work, you will need to use a Hex Editor.

Hi, I have acquired a purc 5000 with the enhanced drawer that is
programmable (supposedly without having to reprogram the eprom) from th
e front panel of the unit. A friend is trying to program it and so far
when he puts the new freq in, it seems to take, but when you go back in,
it's still on
Sounds like a hike with a replacement 4.7 or as close as you can will
fix this one. Good idea on the fets for ptt, I was glad to see nhrc
using them when I built my first model2. If you can carry skis to the
peak just imagine the fun when you are done.

Hi all,
I got a couple of 146-148 Maxtracs that I was thinking of making a repeater
out of. The problem I have is that the only frequencies I can get
coordinated are in the 145 Mhz part of the band.
Is there a mod for these radios to get them to go down there or am I out of
luck? I

A good idea overall but 1N4001's are a bit of an overkill (he
certainly shouldn't need 1 amp capability for PTT)!
1N4148's should more than enough...

I just get some new radio's from Cook towers in GA.
They do mother M new and discount to Hams and Fire fighters. The toll free

If it's an Advanced Controller, you have to flip a dip switch in order to
change channel frequency settings if memory serves. I don't have the manual
here and it's been a few years since I set one up; I'm sure somebody else
here will give you the details.
better to enquire at www.greenkeys.com or is it
org...one of them will get you there.

Well let's look at this from this prospective.
I removed the power amps and the power supplies from the purc 5000 cabinet.
I then put them in a cabinet with an antenna relay from RF Parts.
This power amp, on VHF, is capable of 500 watts rf output on FM and on SSB.
You need a manual to help you
Ihave a few questions about aritron repeater plus, keep in mind i have very little experience working with repeaters, i have messed around with a R-100 a little thats all,
I am wanting to build a small radio network with this unit and the r-100 and some other portable and Mobil radios.

It looks really slick. They say it does 50 watts continuous duty.
Is this really true?
