I have used the Hustler G7-220 for many years in a high wind area and it has held up very well. No snap crackle or pop through the repeater during wind. There is no ice or snow here in So. Cal. so others may want to comment on their experiences with this antenna in harsh environments. The

I don't think the AFM-24DA is made anymore. That was the 220 four pole antenna made by Cushcraft. The G7-220 is still available for a little under $200. Some of the commercial antennas should still be available, too, since they make them for 220-222 MHz. No retuning should be needed. Joe M.

I have two VHF duplexers for sale. Frequency ranges listed are based on the manufacturers specifications. In the case of the DB products duplexer it may in fact tune below 150 MHz although, I haven't tried. Since both need 2 MHz separation they may be more useful for other than Ham use? CAP?

Thanks Eric, all good points. I am lending the repeater to the local club because they want to try 440 in addition to their current 2M machine. They have close ties with the site owner (club member) and that helps. Basically, I have a spare UHF repeater sitting on the shelf and I'd prefer it
