Yup, that truly is a T51. I haven't seen one for over 20 years. I

Hopefully Mike will get us a copy
I know that this will not be a mastrII or micor quality

only a BACKUP repeater, and I'm just asking for a little help from someone
willing to share their knowledge, and help me if possible.

If you ever get the chance, grab a GE or a Micor and put it on the air.
Its like driving a Geo Metro and then switching to a Sedan DeVille! Its
the quality, engineering and design that makes the difference.
Granted, the Kenwoods do work, but not as good as a unit made for the job.

Hello to the group,
Anyone know what kind of repeater controller I have? A guy brought a
Mastr Executive II into the shop for repair and we all
started wondering who made the controller. It would be nice to have
some documentation if it ever really fails (only the 5 V Reg this
time). Kev
Ok that's fine but most of us would run the radio as the exciter into an amp
or just a link. I am just saying they work well. The new TK--8180K2 is much
better and they really run well. All the outputs on the DB-25

Mobile, well, take your pick.
Base, look at Diamond or Comet, but use some of
Well,
10 watts is not much of a repeater! I run GE MastrII's which have run
110 watts for over 26 years and I dont need any fans. I dont need two
radios.I know the receiver front end wont get swamped and the PA wont
overheat and go spurious and I paid less for my repeater than you paid
for one
Well,
I have over 10 of them in service and as long as you DO NOT run them over
10wt they will survive with a small fan on the tx radio. Take a look at the
web site and look at the Coburg site.

Yes,
Diamond makes one that I know for sure as I have one
up on the roof here at home. Works OK. I use it more
of a test antenna then any thing.
The DB-224 I also have for just two meters works loads better.

Any two VHF radios can be made to work as a repeater, but how they will
perform is questionable. Most cannot sustain the duty cycle of repeater
operation and will burn up quickly from overheating. The receiver may be
too wide or sloppy and permit desense from the transmitter. Then you
