Personally I prefer the Decibel folded dipole line. The DB-408 at 6.6 dBd would be my first choice. Others would go for the DB-420 at 9.2 dBd. A lot depends on your coverage area and terrain. I have seen times where the lower gain antenna actually outperforms the higher gain model. The 408 has

I have a VHF micor station connected to a Link Comm RLC3. Recently we had a problem with low transmit audio. On the first trip, we replaced the LMC662AIN chips in both the TX and RX audio paths in the RLC3 radio card that used to feed this Micor. We put this card back in slot on of the RLC
