I have a Motorola Head model YCN4220A. It is in excellent condition. It is

Its been a while, but from what I remember-no! They use one PA to drive
two more which only have the finals and Wilkinson combiners,so they wont
work stand-alone.Nice find though,I'd use it as is,but prepare to watch

Question: I see that the top section is INSULATED from the rest of the
antenna. No mistake, no defect, it's built that way.
How then does that top section actually work?
Looks like a 1/4 wave on 2M, with an 8 turn coil just below, then the
insulator.

I have had several problems with my repeater as of late and
tracked down the culprit, the antenna. Can someone recommend a good 460 MHz
high gain antenna? I am open to offers as well as buying new.
Thanks

Personally I prefer the Decibel folded dipole line. The DB-408 at 6.6
dBd would be my first choice. Others would go for the DB-420 at 9.2 dBd.
A lot depends on your coverage area and terrain. I have seen times where
the lower gain antenna actually outperforms the higher gain model.
The 408 has

I have a VHF micor station connected to a Link Comm
RLC3.
Recently we had a problem with low transmit audio.
On the first trip, we replaced the LMC662AIN chips in
both the TX and RX audio paths in the RLC3 radio card
that used to feed this Micor. We put this card back in
slot on of the RLC

If you intend to use it with your R100, the R100 should have the 25
pin option connector installed and cabled to the QRN4314A interface
board. The patch connects to this connector.
I picked up one of these to play with. It works,

According to the MOL catalog, the Field Programming Guide for the MCR100 is
Publication # 6881125E60, for about $30. I have no idea if it is for the
phone patch in question, or for an unrelated product with the same model
number.
