There are three manuals needed for complete coverage of a UHF MSR-2000

Thank you both. Yes Bob have the 27k but seem to have made a mistake in the

Looks like there is some attenuation taking place, reducing all audio passing

Why would you say I know better than to use these in duplex
service? I have used LMR400 for duplex cables for years and have never had one
single problem. If you do your calcalations correct for figuring the length of
your cables then there should not be any problems. LMR400 is the best and

Uh oh, here we go again. There is a perceived risk of noise due to the
dissimilar metals issue in the materials of LMR-400 (foil and braid).
Having used miles of it, I've never had an issue either. I've talked with
two engineers at Times about it, they claim they have never seen an issue

Even Times Microwave disagrees with you.

I've never looked at Bob's filter, but some generic things to look at...
1. Filters are lossy devices typically. Did levels drop off behind it to
the point where your DTMF detector is now unhappy?
2. Twist now wrong? (In other words, does Bob's filter leave the audio
passband from 300-3000 Hz
Somehow my mailer treated this thread and the message I just replied to

If you talked to the Times engineers at the Wallingford, Ct facility,
they are not correct. I was at that facility several years ago and
discussed the problem of PIMS and LMR-600 cable. We discussed the
possibilities of the connectors causing most of the problems.

Take a look at the sales sheet for LMR-400. It makes no mention or
recommendation of its use in duplex or multi-carrier service.

For applications after the combiner, the manufacturer of LMR-400 recommends
their T-COM cable.
