We were just talking about the GLB preselectors recently. Now I have a
dead one.
I got a call that one of the local ham repeaters went stone deaf after a
lightning storm a couple of weeks ago. I got time today to stop by and
found that the GLB preselector bit the dust. I have used several of

Hello guys.

For small-diameter cables, I have Paladin "CST Vario" strippers. These are
completely adjustable - you insert/remove the blade cartridges to get the
strip dimensions you want for 3-level stripping, and you adjust the depths
of the blades for each strip level for whatever cable you're using (i.e.
No Problem Jeff Just trying to save you some work - hihi...

Good Afternoon,
I've been following the previous threads and doing a lot of
research on the issue of crimp on coax connectors vs. solder. Based
on that research and several very useful threads on this list I
purchased a Paladin Crimp All tool with a couple of dies for RG-8/213
and type an

Hello guys.
I got a Motorola MTR2000 VHF 100Watt 150-174mhz split PA. I would like to trade
or swap the repeater for a KENWOOD TKR-750 or similar, depends on what you
have. OR swap the 100w 150-174mhz for a 40watt PA or other 2m capable PA. Let
me know what you have. I can program for you also.

This is what I was thinking of doing. Glad to see someone else had the same
idea.

Tom,
Please be advised that boating laws do not specifically require a battery to be
in a box. What they do require is a battery to be securely mounted and the
"non-grounded" terminal covered. Most folks interpret that as a battery box or
bracket to old the battery in place. Most folks usual
Something worth mentioning about the info on the site that was posted - the
35-ohm matching sections need only use a single 1/4 wave piece of cable,
then the remaining length of that run can be 50-ohm cable.

I'm collecting info about using a Tait T800 series 1 low band repeater as a ham
6m repeater, but info is very scarce. I do not own such a repeater yet but know
where I'd get one in case I see that there is some hope for success.
These are the problems one will most likely run into:

That's pretty good. But what I had were the actual cutting dimensions for
the elements, cables, etc. right from Decibel, similiar to what I posted for
the Phelps-Dodge/Celwave dipoles. I know I have it *somewhere*...
