Gareth,
There are pre-amps on the input side. I have considered the possibility of rf
getting back into the receive side. I am running a similar configuration now
with a mono-band Antenex vhf antenna and Wacom 641's. It seems to be holding
its own.

Hi Mike,
No this was not one of Tommy's deals, but the guy had to have been to the Tommy
Rea school of duplexer modification 101.
Good to hear from you.

Burt,
I have not had a chance to measure them yet, but I am pretty sure they are the
1/4" diameter ones as they are from a fairly new Sinclair Resloc VHF 6 cavity
duplexer.
I will get a measurement tomorrow and report back.
Thanks,

The method that I use to accomplish this, is to build "Macros" that only
require 12 button pads to execute them. You can string several functions
together within a Macro that can then be executed with a single multi-digit
command. I normally use a 4 digit command structure for calling the
Pre Amp is ok if you use band pass in front of the pre amp. The henry amp
should give you good service. If it's a 100watt model run it at 80 watts.

Hello Group,
Thank you for being here and reading this.
I am new to this group and need antenna advise for a repeater system I am
attempting to build. My electronics skills are very limited, but I know enough
to assemble a system and get it on the air.
This system consists of two repeaters lin
Thanks Mike, so you are saying no preamp needed and any recommendations for an
amp to be combined with the rig. I have a Henry UHF amp in hand. I would
think any amp would work with simple RF out of the repeater. Am just curious
more about sensitivity than anything.
Thanks

Your repeater should receive good to a -120db. You can get it a bit better
with some time tunning. If your repeater is out of the box it will be def
and will need to be tunned.

You might save on Invar if you can get away with using coupling nuts to
reuse your short rods, and don't forget the jam nuts. I've done it with
no measurable degradation.

Hi Joe,
Sounds like a Tommy Rea deal. He used to cut the rods off on all of the
Sinclair resloc UHF duplexers.
