I also am experiencing a power-up problem with a 900 MHz Spectra. This one is

There's just enough of a "ring of truth" (considering this supposedly occurred

That was the rating from Motorola... but they were often-times good for a "bit
more". In fact, that Community Repeater I just rebuilt from scratch had a 75W
PA, and I got just under 100 out of it when I fired it up.
Of course, I dialed it down to 50 to keep it legal for GMRS.

I'm not sure if UHF elements are redone at the same price as a VHF or not,
but the last UHF one I had done at ICM cost me $55... tuned right up with no

Did you notice that these are rated for 50W max?? They are also described as "access point" antennas - I assume that they are referring to computer-type WAN or something similar. Bandwidth is probably acceptable, but power handling would be my big question...

I'm, pretty sure that I have a "digitized" version of the R-100 manual at home... I'll have to check to see where it is. If it's on my main computer, it may take some time to get to it again - I've had a MAJOR problem with McAfee antivirus, and I'm starting from scratch with a fre
