The PSE 508 is an excellent controller. I highly recommend its use with your
GE repeater system. It is specifically designed for the GE Mastr II repeater
station. I wish we'd had these controllers some years ago when I was working
in the commercial two-way business.

I used to program Midland radios but it's been almost 15 years.
Are you looking for the eprom oven and burner for the old syntech series or,
are you looking for the field programming box for the syntech XTR series?
Please let me know; I may be able to get you in touch with an old boss of mine
The maxtrac radios placed a DC voltage on the mic hi wire. If you do not see
that voltage, the mic will not work.
Now there is a possibility that the maxtrac may switch that voltage on and off
along with the PTT (TX on and off) but I don't recall that being the case when
I had the maxtracs.
Sounds like a bad case of mixing products (i.e. 2A-B) where A is frequency A
and B is frequency B. Several years ago, I helped cure a similar problem on
146.820 MHz. Turned out four transmitters were involved in that fracas and it
only took two to start the repeater howling.

Hi Andy,
I've obtained several of these old RCA's since we last wrote one another. If
you find an old, smoke gray, VHF Hi band (150-174 MHz) radio; I'd like to have
it (4 channels preferred, but I'm not picky either). Other than that, I've got
enough low-band radios to hold down the back of a
Both controllers I had are now sold. Thank You!

The "Homebrew 224MHz Repeater Project worked out so well... I
have since built six of the little buggers, three four our
system needs and three at the request of others.
So the retrofit Hamtronics Receiver is an option you might
consider.

Hi Everybody!
I have an Icom IC-RP1520 2 meter repeater station that has a bad receiver in
it. It has always had a problem with low sensitivity and, has had some damaged
tuning slugs in the IF coils.
If anyone has one of these they'd like to part with, please let me know as I'd

Hello Andy,
If you happen to spot any of these radios in VHF Hi; I'd sure like to get hold
of them to do a 2 meter conversion on them. It'll draw a few wows when folks
visit me radio room.
