paging system appeals very much to these
folks... as it does also to manufacturing and fire departments.

I just picked up a complete Flexar Repeater. It is set up fo DC
remote, but would like to add a speaker only. There are several screw
connections on the bottom of TX unit or is there a inside connection.
If anybody has any information I would appreciate it.

Can a VHF duplexer be modified to use in UHF or vise versa. If so what
would have to be done. Just wondering, with a low power machine if this
was possible(10-15 watts).
I have the TOT in all my radios set at 30 seconds and building a 2
meter rptr that will be no more than 120 seconds, no reason in my
mind to talk more than 2 minutes without releasing the PTT.

I had a few GM300's VHF laying around the house for a few years. Got my
ham ticket back in the winter and have been trying to make a 2meter
repeater. Got em programmed with out any problems, ordered a cable that

I was surfing on the web yesterday and came upon a repeater that had
been made out of a SP50 as the receiver and a radius mobile (16 pin) as
the Tmtr. Does anybody have any info on a configuration like this?

What would be the guidelines to use for antenna seperation on a 2 meter
machine w/o a duplexer. Horizonal and vertical, this will be a limited
use machine, so there will not be a lot of traffic.

Do you have to use an external controller when putting 2 radios
together for a repeater? I just want a simple RX TX and have the TX
radio PG with a 2min TOT. There are some cables on the internet that
claim all you have to do is plug and play (MOTO Radiuu 16 pin). Do they
really work?
