Has anyone had time to try out the new MOTOTRBO digital stuff?? It seems to be far less expensive than P25, and you can have a 2:1 ratio (2 voice conversations on one RF channel simultaneously ). Also, since it is a TDMA format, would that be legal to play with on the amateur bands (sorry for

Ok guys ... here is what I found. It is not Motorola proprietary format, but rather it is ETSI (European Technical Standards Institute) (standard number ETSI TS102 361-1). It is a DQPSK scheme. This is a published standard, and I just might start pursuing its use rather than D-star at this poin

I''m planning an NXDN Kenwood Nexedge link system as mototurbo is already obsolete due to the fact that it does not support 6.25 khz and at some point it will be required. Maybe not in Amateur Radio but will definately be required in Land Mobile. Plus the Mototurbo repeaters simply do not last (
