Ya, in a nearby town the hams did that. We use link communications controllers that have a serial port for programming on them. They hooked them up to a TNC which allowed them to change programming remotely. Worked great. Unfortunately it was before my time, and I wasn't involved in the specifi

I was considering a similar project using packet. Specifically, by keeping a transceiver open on a out-of-band frequency. Alternatively, maybe use the same input frequency to monitor for either a tone burst or packet data for upgrade. If detected, have the repeater switch into packet "upgrad
