the error bars of lattice parameters using GSAS

2010-02-18 Thread Peng, Jin
Hi, I am using the graphical interface of GSAS, EXPGUI, for the refinement, the problem is I can not find the error bars for the lattice constant a, b, c. I can find the error of band length and band angles under result - disagl. Where can I find the error bars for a, b and c? Thank you! Jin

Dear list members, I'm a beginner in XRD and now trying to estimate the instrumental broadening.  My final goal is to measure crystallite size and microstrain of minerals. The equipment I've is Bruker D8 discover with GADDS(2D detector) and XYZ stage.  I know this is not a setup for high resolu

Dear Jin Peng, The uncertainties for the lattice parameters (and all the other fitted parameters) are in the LST file (list file). They are shown as separate numbers for the lattice parameters and the uncertainties, like so: 13.88843 13.88843 6.53524 0.000350.00035

Jin, Make sure you refine a,b,c in the last refinement cycle. If you fix the at some points the error "bars" are gone. Peter Zavalij X-ray Crystallographic Center University of Maryland College Park, MD 20742 Phone: 301-405-1861 From: Peng, Jin [mailto:jpe...@tulane.edu] Sent

Wing, This is something which has also been playing on my mind recently - you are not alone. I don't believe NIST has made LaB6 for a long time. I could use some more to supplement my dwindling supply, so I bought some LaB6 from Aldrich with a view to processing and annealing it, but I can'

Another good line profile standard is NAC (Na2Ca3Al2F14). It's been discussed on the list long ago where one can get this material: http://www.mail-archive.com/rietveld_l@ill.fr/msg01824.html But (facing the same problem with unavailability of LaB6 from NIST), if somebody could propose a good a
