Hi Robert,
We are formulating our request for increased measurement limits for our
experiment. To help with our planning, what would be a reasonable rate of ping
measurements from an single anchor to different targets? Specifically, we need
to ping 1M targets, with each measurement

Dear RIPE Atlas folks,
I now received all the credits we needed, thank you very much! I don’t need
more credits at this time, so please save them for the next needy person :)

Folks,
As I posted couple months ago, we deployed and made available the
instrumentation for longitudinal comparison of the performance implications of
DNS resolver platforms, including ISP-provided and some influential publicly
available resolvers ( https://dns-web-portal.netlify.app/). This

Folks,
FYI, Nick Kernan, my Masters student, has deployed a web portal that
facilitates the comparison between various DNS resolvers, including
ISP-provided and some influential publicly available resolvers (Google’s public
DNS, OpenDNS, Quad9, and Cloudflare). The comparison is based on two
Looking forward to reading Emile’s paper, but in the meantime: Nick Kernan, a
graduate student of mine, wrote a python script for selecting a geographically
diverse set of probes from a list of probes. The script implements a simple
greedy algorithm, which we came up with after playing with
Hi Randy,
In addition, whether it's the configuration or the IP address used by the probe
for a query as Hugo suggested, this would only give you the entry point into
the resolution path (and sometimes will be a private IP address of a simple
forwarder). But you can query for TXT record for
Dear colleagues,
I have now exceeded the number of credits we estimate will be needed for the
experiment we are planning. Many thanks to everyone who transferred their
credits for your readiness to help and such a quick response!
Cheers,
Michael
